Shipping policy
Origin and shipping times
All products sold on Mondo Estro are imported directly from Japan. Unlike a store with local inventory, shipping times reflect this origin:
- Order processing time: 1-3 business days
- Shipping time from Japan to Italy: approximately 3-8 business days, depending on carrier and customs conditions
- Total estimated time: 6-11 business days from order confirmation
These times are estimates and may vary due to causes beyond Mondo Estro's control (customs, weather conditions, Japanese or Italian holidays, carrier availability).
Shipping costs
Shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout based on the total weight of the order. The exact cost is shown before payment.
Customs duties and import VAT
Since the goods come from Japan (a non-EU country), orders are subject to Italian/EU customs regulations:
- Orders with merchandise value under €150: only 22% VAT is due on the merchandise value.
- Orders with merchandise value over €150: an additional cost of 33% of the merchandise value is due, covering customs clearance, duties, and VAT.
These costs are the buyer's responsibility and may be requested by the carrier upon delivery, if not already included at checkout. Mondo Estro is not responsible for any delays or additional costs imposed by Italian customs.
Tracking
Every shipment includes a tracking number, sent via email as soon as the order is fulfilled.
Undelivered or lost orders
In case of loss confirmed by the carrier, Mondo Estro will work with the customer on a refund or reshipment request, within the limits of what the carrier itself acknowledges.
